DAX Cars - 2 Edinburgh Way - Harlow - Essex.
I was very much excited about visiting the DAX factory and showroom and wasn't disappointed by what I saw. The people at DAX were very friendly and gave me a tour explaining all the steps involved in building the car, including the various ways you can approach the build.
Whether by building everything, or choosing a part built option such as a rolling chassis, or even a fully built one.
I then had a test drive in the demonstrator which is an awesome 7 litre big-block Chevy. The weather was a bit wet so the roads were somewhat damp and keeping control of the car under any acceleration was pretty hairy! Loved the experience, not sure about the colour green or grey trim that they chose though.
I was very impressed with the engineering side of DAX and the continuous investment in upgrading the chassis and the development of the Camber Compensation Suspension. However, the fit and finish and quality of the fibre glass body did not compare as well to some others. In summary, I thought if I wanted my cobra mainly for track days the DAX or a GD would be a good choice.
