AK have produced a 100 page manual to

help step you through the various stages of the build.  This manual is complemented with diagrams and photos of all the key elements.

The instructions are not always perfect as sometimes the devil is in the detail and it is possible to misunderstand things, especially if like me you have little or no previous knowledge. However from my experience, I have had the best result from carefully reading the build instructions - often several times before I stared the work.

On many occasions I also spoke to either Ken or Jon to double check my understanding before commencing the task. Their knowledge is second to none and has invariably enabled me to complete tasks in the most efficient way.  In fact, any mistakes that I have made along the way are because I've rushed into a task and then realised some time after completing it that it it's not quite perfect, so I ended up doing it again!

I have heard many people say 'take your time and enjoy the build'… this is definitely sound advice but for me was often difficult to follow as it was counter intuitive to my natural impatience and strong desire to get the car built and on the road!  Making sure I didn't rush ahead has been a true challenge for me, but fortunately I am a perfectionist so I conditioned myself to ensure every single task was completed properly because I knew that at the end if something was not quite perfect it would eat away at me during the years that I want to enjoy the car.

From the menu on the left you can view the various stages of my build.  Each page charts my progress with pictures and a brief description of what I have been up to.  I Hope you enjoy viewing!
